Usurper is the only game thats giving trouble, and again, its random trouble. The game works, thats all I really care about. Its just that nightly maintenance thats not so great. I did try modifying NPC values, it improved a little bit but not much. Before that, it was running on 2K for about 2 years, and before that, Windows NT4. Before that, OS/2 Warp from 1994 to 2000. A poorly written game I can live with, its not really a big deal. Its just that the entire system can go for days, weeks, even months without me checking the console logs or "logging in".... so during that time I'd prefer not to have anything get stuck. Rebooting the server is not an option either, as it can take over 15 minutes from shutdown, reboot and startup - and I'm hosting web sites and Fido for others so downtime is not a good thing. Ultimately its my fault; this is all a hobby and one can't expect it to run entirely on auto-pilot without some degree of due-diligence from the Sysop. *Nick* --- D'Bridge 3.03* Origin: His juggling is almost hypnotic.
