Its not just the membrane keyboards, some of
the early raised rubber button ones did too.

It is odd you only have problems with one board.

It certainly can happen, I notice the other day that the modem was
rate renegotiating down quite a step. Found out later that someone
had tried to call and it was just the call waiting bips. Usually
that would drop the modem call right out and the phone just rings.
