I am one of those folks... tried EDTA on the battery bank in the cellar
of my house, and it raised the peak voltage/cell .1 volt; I had planned
to repeat the treatment when the daylight hours increased, but my home
burned down in late Feb, so that experiment ended.
Recently got a new supply from trailhead supply 325 E. 1165 N. Orem UT
84057,,, 1 lb @ $15.50 incl s&h.... tried it on a couple old car batts.
brought dead cells up to 25% charge so far.  True it may not make the
battery start a car again, but even at 25% it is useful for a cheap
battery bank for HP.
