The problem is that the Austel one tends to max out more at -13 and lower
rather than at -12; and from what Netcomm owners are saying, connects
improve when they lock theirs at -11.

Don't forget that a fax is no more than a scanner with a modem attached
(funny how the multi-functional machines have broken the fax up into its
components again)...

It's more a case of try and see what works.
