That should work, you're still logging in to the NNTP server with your
credentials but then posting a message written by XYZ

Well for Mystic it's a user posting to echomail with their real name or
handle. In the case of fsxNet Usenet those echomail packets are gated to a
news post which is posted to the NNTP server using the From: name / alias
supplied.

If you look at how this reply is gated through and shows up in the newsgroup
you will see it comes from my 'real name' as that is the rule I am abiding by
here by posting in the Fidonet MYSTIC group.. but for others who have posted
here using their alias the same things happens, and in Usenet the post shows
as coming from the alias.
