Hi!
I had what I thought was a modem failure on my SUPRA 28.8 simply because
of the weird noise on dialing out resulting in no dial tone. Panicking
(but after checking the telephone line and hearing a dial tone), I asked
my wife to take a ride to the tiny computer show that was being
presented in the next town. Miraculously, she agreed so the ride was
good.
I bought two MOTOROLA MODEMSURFR 33.6 modems for a few pennies under $60
each. That's all they had in stock. WIN95 picked it up just fine; but my
problem is finding a good init string for my WILDCAT! 4.20 BBS and
FRONTDOOR 2.20cmL.
Any one know of a good init string?
BTW: the problem was with the telephone line after all. What a bummer.
But I might as well use them.
