In a message on Does anyone know of a terminal program that can send
BL> RI (Ring Indicate) to force a bbs programme to think
BL> it is getting a call from a phone connection rather
 BL> than from a Null modem/cable connection.

Have you tried a script on the terminal program to first send some RING
messages to the PC running the BBS SW, and then to send CONNECT messages
(complete with speed info).

Regards

John
