I've been pretty lucky in some regards.  The family thing is one hell of a 
long sentence, and the jury's still out on how all my tiny madwomen will 
turn out.  I caught a big break a few years ago--you just never know 
what's around the corner (like I keep telling the madwomen).
  I also feel lucky that I got into the guitar thing in '94.  I'm 
proceeding at a snail's pace, but I'm having a lot of fun.
