I had the same problem with usrurper.  I seem to remember fixing it at one
point, but I may have just had it run seperately so that it didn't hose the
board when it hung.  I always had trouble with one door or another crashing
and closing the VDM.  I ended up running the BBS from a batch file from a
native command window (CMD.eXE bs vs command.com)  When the VDM would
close, the batch file restarted the node.  if you're referring to the CALL
batch file command, I think it ony has to do with making a bach file within
a batch file return instead of replacing the execution of the original.  
If you used "start", it would run as its own process.

It always seemed like the best doors were the most troublesome.
