Are you using the same slide you use with the Nat'l, or a lighter one?
What kind of electric?
Gee, just talking about one made me pick up the Strat for the first time
since I escaped from the Krankenhaus. I had hernia surgery on Tuesday,
and--like I did after similar surgery in '74--I'm movin' kinda slow.
Anyway, you may not have heard of Colin James, whose "I Just Came Back
to Say Goodbye" I was just playing. He's a good Canadian Blues-based
rocker. Yeah, I know "the Blues had a baby, and they named it Rock 'n'
Roll". But the song I just mentioned starts with Colin doing a fine job
on a couple of verses of "I've Got Stones in my Passway" on a National,
then breaking into electric work when "I Just Came Back.." starts. He's
got one of those old red Supro resonator electrics, too; but his main
electric sounds like a Strat [I could be totally wrong here].
Anyway, I'm off work for several days, so I can start listening to
Johnny Shines's version of "Nobody's Fault but Mine" tomorrow.
