Hello,

well I went to the web site for your travel scope, I showed my wife it and
now she wants to know where you live so she can beat you up now that she is
looseing her husband (me) again to the workshop for a redesign of my scope
LOL LOL.

that is an awsome job on the scope. Im jellouse that I didnt think of that
before. I have 3 boys, 4,7,10 and I am involved in cubscouts, as a matter
of fact, january is our astonomy month. hmmmm maybe Ill make some parts to
the new scope each week and bring them down and fit them with the cubscouts
and they can see a telescope being built over the course of a month. I
like the fact that you used PVC piping for the truss sections and chains.
I think that your design is very well put together and I hope you dont mind
if I do some copying of it. On the hole that was cut for the mirror cover,
I found that treating the sides on both the cover and opening with a rubber
strip, it eleminates any chaffing from of the wood - wood contact and the
scruff that falls off onto the mirror. Mine will be an 8" scope.
Thank you for sharing this with us all and nice job :)
