When I bought my M34F (in Dec '94) it came with the following...



 - Installation Guide (AKA "Read This First")

 - Modem User's Guide (AKA "Read This Second")

 - SmartModem Family Command Card

 - COOEE User's Guide



...and also available (at NO CHARGE) by sending in the warranty card were...



 - SmartModem Reference Guide  (which I got in Jan '95)    <<= **GET THIS**

 - Dumb Mode Guide  (out of stock and I never pursued it)

AutoModems and Roadsters are two distinct models/series of modems but neither

of them are SmartModems! ;-)
