I think you've got the motivation in the wrong court. Windows means more
hardware and more software and more cost to the employer. Windows came into
our company because of rabid demand from the employees. The employer
resisted it vehemently but finally gave in. I must admit that we do see a
more shallow learning curve under windows than we ever saw in dos programs.
It could be that the employees just resisted learning less.
