Just a quick comment for all Canadian Search & Rescue people.
In care you are not aware there is a National Search and Rescue
Secretariat set up in Ottawa, to pass along information and can help a
bit ref equipment, etc. (but don't hold your breath with all the gov't
cut backs)
They also have a publication they send out every few months called
SARSCENE and you can get on their mailing list or send in articles by
contacting them at:
National Search & Resuce Secretariat
4th Floor, Standard Life Building
275 Slater Street
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0K2
or call them at: voice: (613) 996-2642 or 1-800-727-9414
fax: (613) 996-3746
At present there is NO cost for the publication if you are a Canadian
Search & Rescue group .... as for non Canadians I'm not sure if there is
a mailing charge .... give them a call and check it out. They are always
looking for new and exciting articles to publish.... why not try your
hand at writing.
