Alan, it may not be a big deal to you, but when I pay for a legal copy of
software, I expect to be able to install it on any computer system that I
want as long as I'm only using it on one machine at a time. Suppose I
upgrade to the new Windows ZZ and 5 years from now decide to install my old
unused copy of Win XP on a spare PC. I can just see calling Microsoft to
activate the software and receivingthe response, "I'm sorry, but we no
longer support Windows XP". I'm then stuck with an useless piece of
crap taht I paid good money for. Please don't try to tell me that Microsoft
would never do anything like that. The've done it over and over again.
