First, has Win95 correctly identified the modem type? Sounds like you're
having a deathmatch between expected modem responses and actual modem
responses.

TM> Can anybody help, or has anyone been experiencing the same problems ?

Yep. If you get past the modem OK, the next things you'll have to battle
with are the protocol (You'd like TCP/IP via dial-up for access to the
remaining portions of MSN), and the selection of when / if you provide
keyboard access to the connect stream. (It's also possible to use a script
- it's just not easy.)

Recommendations: get a thick, non-Microsoft, book. Avoid plug and play as
much as the bastard will let you. Stuff about with it. Hope that you can
get it working despite all the skilled "help". :-(

Regards,
Dave Hatch.
