"Advertiser paid" = "audience paid" (where to the
advertisers get their money from?). I have a pretty good idea of how
you'll debate this.
Your taxes pay for some government programs you like, as well as those you
don't. Your purchase price pays for advertising on programs you like
(and/or watch) as well as some you don't.
The net effect is still the same: you can pay it in taxes or you can pay
it embedded in the cost of the product but you still pay for the programs.
