Well "audience paid" collects funds for PBS (as an example) not
funds for program ABC on PBS.

As for objecting to paying taxes, there are certain services/"social
goods" that you quite willingly pay taxes for:  fire department being
but one.  And there are others where the government delivers a service at a
far better price than the public sector can do:  medicare being one.
