AS> I am now running WIN95 with a Spirit SMI 14.4 modem and cannot use AS>the modem under Windows. DOS works fine. I am using new 95drivers AS>from Mike Bourne Electronics. AS> On dialing (using Hyperterminal) I get the message "another AS>program is using this device try later" I removed COM4 and let Win95 AS>reinstall it but still same message. I have configured the modem as AS>standard 19200 modem. I would be grateful for any help as when AS>Internet access gets cheap(hahahahaha) I will need Windows AS>communication!! andrew strong AS>--- Hi, just budding in. I had the same problem. Its to do with COM1 & COM2 sharing the same interupt with COM3 & COM4. Just set COM3 & COM4 to DEFAULT setting instead of using the same interupts as COM1 & COM2. Hope this helps.
