I would say turning night into day is a pretty significant environmental
change, even if it really does only apply to cities and certain areas like
that. I guess you have to live out here by me to appreciate the difference.

If it's more than the earth can compensate for, sure. However how many
industries does it take to equal Mt St Helens when it erupted?

I don't know, can you tell me if the CO2 level is from cars or algae? Is it
possible that it's not burning of fossil fuels but the dumping of sewage or
the runoff from large developed areas or the deforestation of other large
areas that's causing the change? How do you know it's not being caused by
aerosol underarm deoderants?

The fossil record suggests that warm is good for life and cold is bad for
life. So since the claims are that it's getting warmer I would say that's
probably good, overall. Certainly it will be both good and bad depending on
area. I mean that's what climate change is, change. So if the climate is
perfect somewhere like say Sheepville South Carolina , then change
probably isn't going to be good. OTOH, if you live in FrozenNuts Canada...

In the past civilizations have moved, risin, and fallen because of climate
changes. Do you blame those climate changes on their campfires? Ok
seriously now, I have no problem blaming local conditions (acid rain in
select areas comes to mind, your polution example as well) on people, but
there is scientific evidence for this. Even the global warming article I
posted the link to admits that they don't know squat when it comes to why
climate changes on the global scale and there are a lot of viable
possibilities.

So all I'm saying is launch more earth watching satellites, monitor more
stuff, and find out why instead of making decisions based on "we don't
know".
