While I hate the fund raising drives, I think being paid by the audience is
preferable to being paid by the government.

For example listen to NPR and you hear an array of different news, listen
to the BBC and 90% of it is Israel/Palestinians or Iraq.. Listen to radio
china and it's almost all business news. The differences are amazing.
