No, we got out of Romania before all the fun started.  Did spend New Years
Eve with a few from the Romanian Embassy.  We stayed up for two extra hours
past midnight to celebrate the entry into the EU.

I am sure.  Going to be interesting to see what happens with both Romania
and Bulgaria.  I think we have seen the end of expansion for many years.
Spent Christmas with my wife's relatives out in a few of the villages in
the north-eastern part of Romania. It really is a different world like
stepping back 60 years or more as compared to the countryside in the
States.  Had to watch how many beers since it was a cold walk to the
outhouse.   Of course there mostly drinking homemade wine and some
homemade booze that I guess is going to come under EU regulation now.
