Hi Jon, wuzup man?

It's just basically PKZIP for OS/2. Fully compatible with the dos version, it
automatically grabs and zips the EA's associated with the files being zipped
and restores them properly when you unzip them. Even if you only unzip one
file
from the archive, it uncompresses the EA for the file.
(Though dos PKUNZIP will ignore the EA's when it unzips a file created by
P)
Lemme see if I have file names for you....
yup: ZIP21X2.ZIP for the compressor
UNZ520X2.ZIP for the de-compressor

Wierd, mine always has. I couldn't Format the disks HPFS and swap them, but
HPFSREM.ZIP fixed that problem. Tho I have noticed that no matter what format
the drive is, if you don't have a disk in and spinning at boot time, os/2
can't read the disk even if you insert one later. (which is a problem for me,
I
remove the disks when I don't need the drive for a while. Gotta remember to
put
a disk in when I reboot.)

That's good, not being able to swap disks would suck. I re-boot often enough
as
it is, rebooting to swap disks would get on my nerves. :)
JF> Tell me about Infozip, though. I'm curious....
Like I said, it is just like PKZIP for dos. I have a set of batch files I run
when I want to backup a part of the HD, does everything automatically in the
background. With the batch files and infozip, I back up only particular parts
of my HD with no problems. It's easier and faster than running some program
that does your whole HD, that is also grabbing junk you've collected but
havn't
gotten around to deleting. Even on the programs that allow you to selectively
backup, you have to pick directory by directory each time you run it.
Besides, having an os/2 compitable ZIP program is handy even if you don't use
it for backup purposes. :)
