The UK have done this for a while but only from previously parts of the
Empire e.g Ozzies, Canadians, Kiwis, Fijians etc & (e.g. with Nepal
& the gurkhas) there are specific covering agreements twixt govs wrt
desertion etc.
Just out of interest....were one not to be a US citizen & were one to
join the US mil....could one in any way be accused of being a traitor etc
if one took anti-US actions (esp passing information to your native
country)?
Breach of contract possibly but as far as I can see...that's about it.
