JH> TT> FILE *printer=fopen("prn","w");
JH> That makes sense. I found out that "wt" is short for
JH> WinTerminate. Is "w" short for windows?
No. fopen() is a standard function, and knows nothing about
Windows. The "w" is used to indicate that the file is to be
opened for write operations.
Look up fopen() in your documentation.
