Thanks to everyone for your input.  I'm not going to answer you all
individually, so that less time will be spent away from writing the page. 
But I've read all your comments and appreciate them.

As the page develops, feel free to write me if parts of what I'm trying to
say seem confusing.  But please also give me some time to draft and revise
the thing before criticizing details.
