See if the aka has it's own domain in the setup. Also, for new networks you
need to create a new network record too to enter the zone numbers.

I'm not sure if I understand you right on this one, the newsserver is asked
for each area which messages numbers there are. Then it fetches the most
recent headers, howmany you can set in the setup, that depends on the flow
of the area. Using the headers it sees which messages are already in the
database, messages not in the database must be new and will be fetched.
With some extra logging you might be able to see in debug.log what is going
on.
