Yes. The firmware on the AUSTEL approved datapump modems (internal models)
¨has been modified to perform to AUSTELs standards. We therefore do not
¨recommend that purchasers of these models use the self tests as diagnostic
¨tools. Alone, they often report inaccurately, the reliability and working
¨order of the modem. We instead recommend that the modem be used as per
¨normal, and if users experience difficulties we ask that they call our
¨trained technicians for advice.
