That was kind of my point, we've already been bitten by GM crops exhibiting
monocultural weaknesses that we didn't anticipate.

I think John Beckett mentioned unintended consequence in a recent post.
That's also what I'm alluding to, we are smart enough to figure out some
stuff but not nearly smart enough to anticipate all the consequences those
changes.
