Yep, played all those games.  I usually wind up using 260/11 since one
motherboard I have has a peculiar on-board function that 280 will
clobber.  This problem is a bit different: Booting OS/2 3 or 4 (took
2.1 off) results in an IMMEDIATE black screen hang prior to even
showing the white rectangle.  I've seen this with a number of cards - I
have a box full of mongrels.  It seems that they either hang
immediately and solid or progress far enough for the sniffer to clobber
them in which case changing the mapping solves the problem.  It's just
that I have a bunch of this particular card and I just hate to pitch a
good card....
To make matters worse, they all pass a rather straight forward generic
test routine I wrote for DOS.  Who ever said this was a science? Thanks.
