G'day Sunny,

I'm in the same boat. I found nothing particularly interesting at the show
this year. There didn't seem to be anything fantastically new and earth
shattering. It seemed the main element still seemed to be the internet and
everybody was showing off cheap and small video cameras for cu-seeme type
applications - not particularly new technology I don't think....

With the NetComm DSVD modems I can only see two main advantages for this
products (sure there are others, but this is only my opinion) (a) for game
players, chat to a friends when playing Command & Conquor and (b) help
desk support...... when you look at a typical application for a modem user
its calling into a BBS or ISP when there may be 100's of modems in a room
who is going to be at the other end to talk to anyway?? also, if I'm
doing a transfer I don't want to slow it down by using up bandwith on a
conversation.....

Nick
