That's funny, those look like the numbers to my set of MakNewt Optics made
by Jerry, that I won at TOW 2000. I hope I can make it this year
(http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~skywise/optics.html Sunday 2:30) to see how to put
in together :-)

Technology has given us many benefits. One of it's detriments is that:
STUPIDITY is no longer FATAL

Scott,
I am not sure which telescope Jerry Logan had with him this year at RTMC
but the Newtonian-Maksutov that he brought with him to the Optics Workshop
in Bellingham in 2000 was one of the Sarrafian design of the type that you
will find discussed in ATMT-V1. The prescription for Jerry's is a scaled
down version of the one shown there. The specifications for this
particular one of Jerry's scopes are as follows:
C.A. Clear Aperture of corrector lens 5.0" R1 - Radius of first lens
surface 9.5532" d1 Corrector Thickness 0.5059"
R2 Radius the second lens surface 9.8432" B.A. Back Aperture of
Corrector Lens 5.052" d2 Separation of lens and primary mirror
28.795" R3 Radius of curvature -55.909"
Dm Diameter of primary 5.682"
EFR Effective Focal Ratio 5.5
Jerry mounted his diagonal 6.0" inside of the corrector lens.
