Sounds like a BIOS problem. - if the DOS version is using more drive
cylinders than the bios supports correctly you'll get that.

I've not tried generic SCSI drivers with DR-DOS, but other DOS drivers seem
to work fine (NANSI,SYS, the driver for my ATAPI CDROM, etc...)
