Back rubber feet comes off, and there are two screws.

FWIW, mine clicks when it takes the phone off-hook (either dialing or
answering), and it is probably one of the oldest Austel approved USR
(current type). It was originally a v.32ter version that has been upgraded
(by me, replacing a daughterboard) to v.FC initially, then v.34 by new SDL.
I have the slider on minimum.
