I do worry about that kind of thing if I were to get a car that was a bit
too fun. 

Anyway the one I was looking (a TDI) was sold already.  I really like the
safety and insurance ratings of the Jetta, not to mention the mileage! But
some of what I've read is positively bad maintenance-wise.
