Ok, Yes, Rockwell make modems that for some people, work good enough, They
are cheap and in most cases, do the job just fine. But for me, Rockwells just
dont perform to what I expect a modem to do. I live in the country, so
connect speed DOES count. I need a modem that will not DIE on a noisy line
(Ie, Netcomms M11f's) thats why I own a Courier. With one link, A user of
mine, MUST USE HST to get a 14k4 connect, or he only gets 7200 V.34 and the
carrier drops out. I also have a couple of users that enjoy V.terbo 19k2
connects.
HM> Every Rockwell modem made since 1993 has CallerID, so I don't know how you
Every Rockwell?.. The SimpleModem i have here says nothing of CID.. And
Since Telstra do not send CID out, I have no need for CID in a modem!. (Bit
like a Free (UNHEATED) Swiming pool with a house in the south/north pole!)

Ummm, Im afraid I dont know what you mean when you say I need a daughterboard
upgrade for the same?!?!, The DaughterBoard upgrade was to Upgrade the
Courier 21k6 V.terbo Modem to, now, 33k6 V.34+ (Thats if im right :)

 and BUG FIXES!!..

Well, With Rockwell Vs Couriers, All I know is with the Rockwells I have
Tried, They have either NOT CONNECTED, Connected half the SPEED or are the
same speed. I have seen higher connects then I get with my Courier but they
are not Stable Connect and Drop out, and thats not counted as a CONNECT in
my books.

Anyway, I payed more for a modem, Got more Protocals, Got V.34+, get better
connects and save money on STD. I am happy...

 Cya!
