I did ask my insurance company what I'd be looking at if I bought an
'04 Jetta TDI, and I think I'd be paying about $20/month more than I'm
currently paying on my '94 Camry (but I do have to dig up that email and
check the numbers again).
As for quality....they seem to have made some marked improvements over the
last year or two - according to CR,anyway.
