Hi Laura,
So Georgia has lots of Fire ants? I would really love to see Georgia
and Florida one of these days, The closest I've ever been to Georgia
and Florida is Alabama to see my brother get married and that is where
he is living now as a pilot for Delta and living in Huntsville, Al.
The only other portion of the east coast I have seen was a layover in
New York(I was bummed at the time I was 17 and the drinking age there
was 18-I'm 33 now so obviously it's not a problem now But I was
disappointed at the time because the only places to go dancing was the
bars so if I had been drinking age in New York then I could have gone
dancing) But we were on our way to Maine to visit family so that is my
travel log for the east coast(at 17-Layover in New York and 2 week stay
in Maine and at 32 flew in via Nashville, TN and driven the rest of the
way to Huntsville, AL) So, tell me what is Georgia like and about what
area are you in? Do you have horses? Is this in the country setting
in Georgia? Well, beware of those fire ants-When I was 19 I went to
Basic training for the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas and one night
they had a bomb scare in our dormitory so we were evacuated from our
dorm and they had us standing in a field some distance away from the
dorms while they searched the dormitories and while we were standing
out in this field all of the girls in my flight got eaten alive by
those fire ants, So after they cleared to go back to the dorms we all
had to report to the Infirmory. What a nightmere. So keep clear of
them.
Take Care, Marianne
