subject: DES2DIZ.BTM ???

Hi Gerald,

 GM> I am seeking a #_*DES2DIZ.BTM*_#, that will read a description for a
 GM> filename (archive) from a 4DOS DESCRIPT.ION file, write it to a
GM> FILE_ID.DIZ file, format the line wrap to column 45, and import the
GM> new FILE_ID.DIZ into the archive - overwritting any existing
 GM> FILE_ID.DIZ.

did you try out the second BTM I posted? There are no comments in it, but
maybe it is what you want.

Sorry if I misunderstood you.

If it is not complete what you wanted, maybe there is somebody who can
adjust it to your wishes. If Klaus still would be here he could and would.

GM> I apologize if the body of my original message was unclear

No, I think, that I read it too fast and was happy this time to be able to
help somebody. I'm not a 4DOS-BTM-programmer, just a user and collector.
But I saved a lot of files and hints on my disk from the german 4DOS-group.

GM> On a brighter note, after performing the translation, I did realize
GM> some very interesting techniques within "your" BTM that I
will include
GM> into my DIZ2DESC.BTM... I will post my resulting btm when I've
GM> completed squashing a few pesky problems.

It's not mine :-) as you found out, but some of these old german cracks
were really good! I don't know where they all are. I hope, one of them will
report back.

Best regards, Ralf
