   If you mean, a single base directory other than /opt/mbse;  then yes,
that can likely be done as part of the installation.  If you mean, mbse
being installed in a more standard way (/etc, /var/lib, /usr/lib, etc...),
then from what Michiel has mentioned in another thread that's not doable
without code changes & there are apparantly some issues with the home
directorys...
