This came, and it helped the general condition of the lines measurably.  I
now get 33.6 one way on a connection where I normally only got 26400
before.

Unfortunately, it did NOT fix the primary fault.  It still disconnects at
semi-random intervals during busy periods.  The other line, 711/808 doesn't
do it - it's only the 711/809 that's affected.

There's a fault on the line somewhere.  Last comment from Frank was that he
wanted to bring out a test set to the site.  Me?  "Welcome sir, here's
the red carpet". :-)
