I was playing with formatting just tonight, and I had the same problem
with the formatter on my IIgs - but it was when I was using the 1.0.5
ethernet client.  I switched back to serial, and it started formatting
correctly.

At least one of the routines in the formatting code is sensitive to
timing, and thus its placement in memory (it can't span a page
boundary).  I'm sure the ethernet client has broken this rule now, but
the serial client should be happier. I'll have to play with that on my
Iic and see what's up.
