I like people with a sense of humour !    
There are only two things standing between me and volunteering. 
First, in my knowledge and experience of sailing, I would probably 
rate myself (scale of 1 to 10) at about a 6 .
Second, on my knowledge and experience on computer bulletin board 
conferences, I would probably rate myself at possibly a 5   
IMHO anyone acting as moderator should be at an 8 or more on at least 
one of these factors - "sailing knowledge & experience" OR "computer 
knowledge and experience".
Call back when I've "grown" a little more... but thanks for the 
suggestion
