Titanic appealled to everyone: Women for the love story, men for the
effects, young because of the actors, old because of the history.
Star Wars will be seen by fans of the originals, mostly men (and the women
they manage to drag along). The argument is not "which one will be better,"
because I look forward to Star Wars more than I did Titanic. But it's hard
to imagine a more widely appealing movie than Titanic.
