Well, I liked the Avanti better but you picked a good one. Designed by
Raymond Loewy's staff (mainly Bob Bourke and Holden Koto), it won Motor
Trends award for the most aesthetically styled car. Most industrial designers
say it was the best of the fifties and it is called by some, "the most
beautiful car ever mass-produced in America". The only trouble I had with
naming it in front of the Avanti is the fact that it's basic style, with
slight facelifts, was around for 12 years culminating with the Hawk GT.
Although that is a fantastic record of longevity; for me, seeing it year
after year from age 18 to 30, diminished it's luster.
