My bbs has over 7,000 viruses in source format, all catalogued and
sorted. I am not a "sick puppy" at all. If you know anything about .ASM, you
can learn a lot more about things by looking at what they are, and what they
do, rather than just clicking on File -> Run. Viruses and virus source code
provide a valuable service to general programmers and AV people.
Not all viruses are meant to destroy "people's stuff"
You should read George Orwell's 1984. It sounds like it right up your
alley. I hesitate to use the example of the Bomb Plans. When Timothy McVeigh
was arraigned for supposedly getting bomb information from the internet,
here
were "cops" out there looking at all the sites and email with the word 'bomb'
and 'explode' in them. They wanted to make sure there was no information
bout
how to construct a bomb accesible to people.
Then you walk into your local Army/Navy store, and there are
iterally
DOZENS of GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS detailing this and a whole lot more -- all
freely available and legal.
Yeah... we're all deviates and sick puppies...
