It's the same as any attachment, actually. You still have to *LAUNCH*
the attachment, and since you can launch any file into an MS application
holding , it will not run anything. It will load up the file without
autoexecuting anything (unless in the case of Excel, it can copy something to
your \\STARTUP directory, which Excel will load regardless).
They will not automatically infect/run until/unless they are
aunched.
If the application programmers decide to make them automatically launch from
the application unassisted, then we may have a problem, but again, the AV
manufacturers will counter that issue when/if it occurs.
