I read YEARS ago that taking out Hussein would be the worst thing
that anyone could do. He was the sole strong influence holding
the entire region together against the religious nuts.

If someone had snuck in and nailed him and snuck out again
one of his sons would have taken over and been just as bad.
If someone blew up the palace, (took out the whole family),
some Mulla would take over and the religious freaks would
be wreaking ten times the havoc they are now.

If the USA pulled out tomorrow the latter will happen within
weeks and they have almost absolute control over the people
and they REALLY hate the West..  Imagine them with control
of most of the world's oil and $$Billion$$ to back their
campaigns of revenge-cum-world domination under Islam..
