The problem is... I added a check to the SmartPort format routine that
checks if a device needs to be low-level formatted or not to be
compatible with CFFA-type devices.  Well, turns out... that routine
decides that 3.5" disks don't need to be low-level formatted
either. :-/  Not so good.  I'll get that fixed, as well as Nick's
suggestion to wrap the routine with interrupt protection and life
should get better for formatting.
