Well, this is something I have heard from several sources now. So although
I can continue to recommend the modems on technical merit (_I_ haven't had
any problems), I have to add a "but..." to that statement, and
mention a few other names and phone numbers of different mfrs.

Sure, if it doesn't do what it was advertised to do, there should be no
major problem in getting it replaced - though it might cost you a Small
Claims Tribunal fee.
